imageWhat if you want to build JET UI, but there is no back-end REST service ready yet. You could use static JSON data inside JET app and load it from the JSON file. This works, but data retrieval logic will need to be changed after REST service will be ready. This is not productive. Ideally you would like to have fake REST service to simulate REST calls from JET UI, until real REST back-end is ready.
This can be achieved with JSON Server. It provides full fake REST API to be used by front-end client. It is extremely easy to setup JSON Server with NPM. Run npm install to setup JSON Server: npm install -g json-server

Create simple JSON file with data structure – this will be served from JSON Server: Read the complete article here.

This blog is designed to help you to build your first Augmented Reality mobile app using Oracle JET and Wikitude SDK’s cordova plugin

Using Wikitude cordova plugin, we can embed augmented reality view into the JET hybrid mobile app to develop fully featured augmented reality apps including image recognition and tracking.

In this blog, I will incorporate image recognition sample provided by Wikitude into our JET mobile application to showcase image tracking AR feature. Using this application, we will be able to recognize a image from a collection of images and show an overlay image. Read the complete article here.

During weekend I was playing with JET WorkBetter sample app. I thought it would be nice to extract People list UI into my own app – so that it will be easy to reuse this UI pattern in our own JET applications. I succeeded to achieve my goal and would like to share WorkBetter Alta UI list sample with you.
This is how my own JET list UI looks like, based on sample app:

Header block is implemented in separate div, this contains title and toolbar for buttons. List content is rendered out of template located in its own div: Read the complete article here.

If you are a user of Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service, you might have noticed some new features in your environment when you came back to work after the long weekend. We rolled out a new version that has a bunch of useful new features for developers. Here is a quick recap of new capabilities you can leverage today!

Import/Export Data Command Line — do you need to automate importing or extracting data from custom objects in VBCS? Now you can do it with the new command line interface. This can be useful for things like daily data load, or replicating data to an external reporting system.

Sending Emails from Actions — VBCS can now send emails for you. A new “Send Email Notification” is available in your action flow editor. You can define reusable email template and pass parameters to them. For example — you can define that an email will be sent to an employee when their salary is updated. Sending emails as a result of some changes to data is a common requirement we’ve been hearing from customers of Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS). In previous versions we already added a function that allows you to fire up the client email software from your app. In the new version we rolled out a couple of weeks ago we added a new function that can manage the whole email processing inside VBCS – on the backend/server/cloud side.

When you define a new trigger on a business object you now have the option to add "send email notification" step to your logic flow.

When you are defining this, you’ll be able to pick or define a template for your email. The email template can have parameters to increase reusability. These parameters can then have their value set from expressions that can include values of fields from your objects. Read the complete article here.

serverlessmeetup
